What Is the AFCAT Course- Know the Details

AFCAT or Air Force Common Admission Test can take you closer to your dream as it is the exam, conducted by the Indian Air Force along with C-DAC. This exam is designed for aspirants who want to join Indian Air Force for flying or in technical or non-technical ground duty.
AFCAT Exam- Things You Need to Know
The exam comes with two parts, like AFCAT and EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test). The EKT part is for the technical branch. The Indian Air Force conducts the test twice a year throughout the country. The selection process goes through the following stages:
- The written exam of the AFCAT is the only criteria to clear the first stage of the exam for the non-technical candidates. But, if you are appearing for the technical branch, you need to clear the AFCAT and EKT.
- The candidates need to clear the Air Force Selection Board Interview (AFSB)
- Finally, they need to go through the medical test.
The Exam pattern of the AFCAT

- The AFCAT exam is conducted online and the AFCAT part consists of 100 questions and the EKT part has 50 questions.
- The marks division for the AFCAT exam is 300 and for EKT, it is only 150.
- For the AFCAT exam, the candidates get 2 hours while for EKT, they get 45 minutes.
- There is a negative marking of 1 mark in each of the parts of the exam.
- The AFCAT exam has the papers on General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Military Aptitude Test, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning.
- The EKT exam is taken on Electronics, Mechanical, Computer, and Electrical Engineering.

General Awareness: 20 questions will be there from this section, based on the following genres:
