Air force Common Admission Test( AFCAT)

AFCAT is an exam which can give you wings to serve your country.Air Force Common Admission Test is a written exam conducted by Indian Air Force twice every year to induct officers in the IAF. Any graduate having 60% aggregate can apply for it. Aspirants from engineering background have optional paper called EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test).Through AFCAT you can apply for all the three branches of the IAF which are Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duty Branches. Both men and women can apply for all the three branches.

Eligibility Criteria

Flying Branch
Age should lay between to 23 years at the time of course commencement. The candidate must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all paper.
Technical Branch

  • 1. Nationality – candidates must be an Indian citizen.
  • 2. The Air Force age limit for Ground duty should be between 20 to 26 years at the time of commencement of course.
  • 3. Both men and women below 25 years of age should be unmarried.
  • 4.Candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level

Ground Duty Branch
  • • AFCAT Age limit – 20 to 26 Years is the Air force age limit for officers joining the Non-Technical
  • • Nationality – Indian.
  • • Gender – Both men and women can apply. Permanent Commission (for Men)/Short Service Commission (for Men & Women).
