AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. This test is conducted by the Indian Air Force for selection of officers in all branches of the Indian Air Force. Flying branch (short Service Commission only), Technical Branch (permanent commission & short service commission) & Ground Duty Branch (permanent commission & short service commission). AFCAT is conducted twice a year (in the month of February and august). Age Limit: 20-24 years for Flying Branch, 20-26 years for Technical Branch & Ground Duty Branch. Age relaxation is applicable upto 26 years of age for Flying Branch as per rules. Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess qualification as follows: Name of the Branch: Flying Branch, Technical Branch Educational Qualification: Graduation (Minimum three year degree course) with minimum 60% marks with Maths and Physics at 10+2 level. Four year degree/ integrated Post Graduation qualification or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India (A) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) (B) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) Ground Duty Branch: Graduation with 60% marks.
